In the summer of 1833, a group of forty beaver trappers left the Green River in modern-day Wyoming and headed west. They crossed the Rockies in late summer, the Great Basin in fall, and in winter, they crossed the snow-covered Sierra Nevadas. I aim to follow their trail and write a book about it. This is the accompanying blog.
